Back at It

Have you ever had what you thought was a great idea, only to regret it when it came to fruition? That’s kind of what happened last weekend. A mission team from Faith Church had been with us for a week. The day after they left a second mission team arrived from Trinity Church in Greenville, North Carolina. Taking a few days to rest in between never crossed my mind. Despite the fact that I was exhausted, we picked up right where we left off and made the most of the four days that Ed and Rachel Goode and the six teens from their church were with us.

Leading up to Sunday was a mix of outreach and recreation. Though we did not have any first time guests in our service, Grayson’s guitar instructor, Jessica, returned and accompanied her while she played. We went almost non-stop Monday, doing a combination of door knocking and canvassing in addition to a service project. Even with temperatures reaching past ninety-five degrees, the kids worked hard. By the end of the day they had given out 500 Gospel tracts! Before saying our goodbyes and sending them back to the hotel, everyone came to our house for devotions and we spent time praying for the city of Provo and the many people we had spoken with over the weekend. We would appreciate your prayers as well!
