“Awesome doesn’t describe the outreach.”

Grayson and I have hosted a lot of mission teams over the past year. They have all been encouraging and their time with us was productive. The group of ten that arrived on June 29 from Faith Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina was no exception. (And I’m not just saying that because Faith Church signs my paychecks.)

While the usual routine took up the first couple of days, the highlight was the outreach. During their week long visit we broke into smaller groups and ministered on different sides of town. In addition to knocking doors and canvassing several neighborhoods, we had a group giving out windshield washer fluid at a local gas station, a group doing volunteer work for the Department of Parks and Recreation, groups pulling coolers through parks and handing out Gatorade and water bottles, and groups rotating shifts at our booth at the Freedom Festival. Those at the booth were joined by Kylee from Provo Bible Church and Pedro, who has been attending New Morning for a few months now. I was thrilled with their involvement and eagerness to help out!

By the end of the week, we had given out more than 600 Gospel tracts, almost twenty-five Bibles, nearly 125 copies of Done, twenty-four gallons of windshield washer fluid, a combined six cases of Gatorade and bottled water, and had gathered contact information from more than 300 people! Please pray that God will send fruit from these efforts as Grayson and I begin the follow up process.
